Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Student Aslı Özman Receives Support from TÜBİTAK 2209-A and TÜSEB A-1 Programs

Aslı Özman, an undergraduate student in the Mechanical Engineering Program at Özyeğin University, has been awarded a grant support under the 2025-A1-01 Program of the Health Institutes of Türkiye (Türkiye Sağlık Enstitüleri Başkanlığı – TÜSEB) and TÜBİTAK 2209-A programs.

With her TÜSEB project, entitled “Investigation of the photothermal properties of transdermal films loaded with silver nanoparticles,” Aslı Özman aims to provide innovative biomedical solutions in photothermal therapy and antimicrobial material development.

Özman’s TÜBİTAK project, named “Surface analysis of plastics after UV light exposure by Raman Mapping and evaluation of chemical degradation processes,” on the other hand, will contribute to the fields of environmental and materials science. Aslı Özman will work on both projects under the supervision of Prof. Mehmet Burçin Ünlü, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences at the Medical and Biological Physics Laboratory at Özyeğin University.
