Faculty of Law Students Won Prize at 1st ELSA Türkiye Moot Court Competition

Ülkü Paşaoğlu, Sevim Melisa Ari ve Zehra Odabaş, students at the Faculty of Law at Özyeğin University, won the “Best Lawsuit Petition” Award at the 1st ELSA (The European Law Students’ Association) Türkiye Moot Court Competition.

The competition, which succeeds the ELSA Türkiye Ordinary Professor Hıfzı Veldet Velidedeoğlu Moot Court Competition, held 13 times between 2001 and 2013, was organized as the 1st ELSA Türkiye Moot Court Competition this year due to a name change. Started in January 2025 with the participation of 31 teams from law faculties of 22 universities across Türkiye, the competition was organized in partnership with the Career and Professional Development Center of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations. Following the written stage, Faculty of Law students from Özyeğin University participated in the oral final round among the remaining 12 teams and received the “Best Lawsuit Petition” Award.
